I’m looking at getting a Australian Shepard x Border Collie. I was wondering if this is a wise choice for a first time dog in general.
Advice is appreciated, thanks 😊
 
It's a very active dog so you'll need either a couple hours or free time per day or a good walker. Aside from that, they're pretty easy to train, if a little impulsive. And they're very loving. They're not very big though so keep that in mind if you're gonna have sex with him/her.
 
I have that same cross…very loyal, they like to be with you, they are real active and need a job. There too smart and will get bored. They are easily intimidated, so, raising your voice is usually a good enough punishment for them. Like someone else said they’re just not very big if you’re looking for a pup to take charge and give you what you, i would look at other breeds.
 
So I met the dog today and ended up passing because he was a bit too high energy for me and my lifestyle unfortunately. It was difficult, but I figured it was only fair to him as well.
Back to the drawing board.
