Hey there, I wanted to share a very simple thing that changed my dog's life in an instant... (And I'm not sponsored in any ways
)
I have a 14.5 years old Border Collie, a pretty large one, I don't think she's purebred but anyway...
She's been struggling with arthritis for years, and everybody knows that tiled floors are very slippery for our pups and can be a real discomfort and a pain, even for dogs who don't have joint problems.
I've always seen my dog with her back legs slipping when she was eating or drinking, sometimes when she laid on the floor she slipped badly, she struggled getting up etc etc... and a month ago when I saw her slipping on that damned tiled floor, I thought to myself "damn there must be socks or some kinf of accessory to deal with this problem..."
So I typed "Anti slip socks" on google and came across a lot of results, and I bought the "Pupteck anti slip socks" on Amazon, they're not that cheap though... 17€ for 4 socks...
But anyway they are double-sided so if they rotate she always have a grip in whichever position the sock is, there's a velcro so she doesn't loose them, they are very cool although she looks a bit ridiculous
It took literally 10 minutes for her to get used to them, and she doesn't want to take them off, I was lucky for that, I reckon some dogs would not get used to socks that easily or would take them off immediatly...
She's not struggling with her
paws slipping all over the place anymore when she's eating or drinking, she struggles way less when she gets up, she's more confident when she walks around the house, she's not falling anymore when she lays on the floor or when she sits.
I would even put socks on a dog without joint problems, imagine yourself walking on an iced and slippery floor without any help for your entire life, and some day someone gives you anti-slip shoes ! Even if you've got used to that slippery floor, I bet you'd feel 100 times better with your new shoes !
So please, give your dog the relief he or she deserves if you have a slippery tiled floor...
The only drawbacks of these are having to remove them before she goes outside and putting them back when she comes back inside... Not a big deal
I wish I bought these years ago...
