I'm curious if anyone has recommendations for a male seeking to adopt a male companion. Best breeds, how to train, where to adopt from. I live in Chicago and it's been so difficult finding breeders or in-tact males.

99% of shelters sterilize, if you need a intact dog, look in ads or a breeder. Or a dog caught by civilians in Facebook groups that has no owner (civilians less often neutered).

if you become a foster home, you can be asked to foster intact dogs before they can setup a neuter appointment
