furry acceptance

I'm really terrible at this but I'm looking to make some new friends interested in the " same" stuff as me. I'm also very avid PC gamer who tends to focus on shooters, RPG,souls games and roguelites. My other major hobby is anime as I spend a ton of time watching anything that catches my eye...

I know this is an odd question but it's always been in the back of my mind. How do you cope with being a part of a community that a good 70% of openly despises you? I moved away from directly interacting with the fandom a while ago but it's always in the back of my mind. I feel like this...
