Zoo Research and Data Social Scientific Analysis of Human-Animal Sexual Interactions

This is a Published paper released this year 2020, and its an interesting read, i've been going through all the paper on Pubmed (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/) from 1985-2020 related to bestiality & zoophilia and its interesting to see a trend of zoo being treated as a mental disorder, to a widespread possible orientation, and a generally softening of attitude towards zoos, and also a greater understanding under human sexuality.

This paper in particular i found to be remarkably unbiased, coving how bestiality in many cultures is acceptable socially and how this raises a double standard.

Full paper is available here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7600587/

Seemingly interesting study.
This article is written with sound scientific objectivity. However, I still find it accepts certain norms and a anthropocentric (human centric) attitude that desperately need reexamination.

For example, on the issue of whether zoophilia is "animal abuse" and cruelty, the argument remains among humans, the majority of whom admit to no actual direct experience with such activities.

A true scientific study would require the observation of the actual activity and the animal's reaction to the acts. Does the animal show fear or try to avoid the contact? Is there any evidence of pain being inflicted? Does the animal show signs of pleasure or of initiating the contact?

Society may not be ready for the answers such a study would produce!
Very objective article on zoos! 10/10
Phenomenal read. The research paper dissected the history, practices, and modern trends around zoophlilia around the world without implicit western-bias.
