Users don't really want to understand that the forum might be closed next year.
I actually forgot this was still a looming threat. I think if a "countdown to forum closing" was started, donations could pickup.
Floofy can barely even contact him to fix ZV.
What about whatever Zoocadia's server setup is?
If you want to try doing that in at least some way, try something like this.
Something like this could sort of partially work if there's a way to A. censor a portion of text and have it visible on demand by reader and B. be able to have multiple polls like this in one post, or somehow group similar polls together. Suggestions?
Putting up a badge is impossible, the sever can not process who completed the quiz.
I didn't mean literally a site "badge" I was speaking figuratively, bagde of honor, showing off their score. All that's needed is html output for the quiz taker at the end of the quiz to post their results openly like a couple popular quiz sites used to.
Alternatively, if there's a way to have a public scoreboard that maybe could accomplish the same goal?
99% of people here are here for porn only.
People who want to successfully have an intimate relationship with a nonhuman partner have incentive to learn how to do it the right way and avoid doing it the wrong way. Why else would all the half-dumb how-to text and video guides out there be so popular, mimicked and shared repeatedly over the decades up to today?
Plus, I called it edutainment for a reason, it will have porn in it! Showing instead of just telling, the difference between correct and incorrect, and making a
GAME out of it! For example, you have a collage of 5 sex scenes (gifs) in front of you. All but one are showing improper canine dick handling, and you're asked, "which one or ones show the proper handling technique to avoid the dog's discomfort?". You know like that sort of thing. It would be really engaging and interesting for any zoo! That's part of why I believe it will make a difference and help shine, and maintain, a brighter light on the dark aspects of zoosexuality that always get missed and swept under the rug.
How many times have you seen a thread asking something, that was explained in depth years ago in a pinned how to thread?
I briefly explained this problem to some mods a while back, the biggest problem forums and chats have had with educating zoos, or educational content period, is information organization. Yah you have the original posts. Walls of text os the first problem. Second and biggest problem is the comments which contribute greatly to diving deeper through tips and perspectives not mentioned in the post, Q&A that clarifies things, provides more vital info and brings up more pertinent questions that get asked and answered....all of this scattered everywhere ramdomly, intermixed with and hidden in hundreds upon hundreds of useless comments, pages upon endless pages! All the information is there for creating the world's most awesome, comprehensive Ultimate Guide To Zoo! All we need is to compile the information into a readable format that doesn't require weeks of sifting through comments and old forgotten, yet equally important, thread posts. Because it's not just the comments we need to source info from, there's many other individual, smaller posts that have useful info not mentioned in th pinned posts!
Basically what we need is either someone with a lot of time or fast, accurate reading skills to sift through all this, or with a good gpu who can train a serverless private AI chatbot, to compile all this scattered data for the posts in the education section to be edited, right?
Then these major education posts could be re-edited with:
citation of the contributing ZV users, which I think that could be appealing to many of the zoos who've contributed and want to
more pics, illustration and formatting to make it easier on the eyes and brain
converted into pdf for easy sharing (to combat all the shitty how-to documents that have made their rounds many times over online throughout the years), having it stamped with the Zooville logo and listing all contributing members.
a video version made of each major how-to for those who have trouble reading at length, like for people with learning disabilities. Real easy to do that nowdays! It could just simply be the same series of pics in the original posts with someone or an AI doing the narration.
This has been a major ongoing barrier to essential education in the zoo community. It's not so much unwillingness to learn, because they have all the incentive they need. It's just not properly organized and formatted for learning efficiency and clarity.
