Thank you I have a question maybe you explained it but maybe I didn't understand it for a few days, I can access some topics and after a while the server blocks access, I can't see anything anymore and I have to wait for a few hours to have access is normal?

That's makes us all feel much better. it might cut down on the number of trouble makers also.
 
Would it be beneficial to not have the group request use the message function with these changes? So you can at least join and make the posts that are relevant?

Hell, it should be 30 days to start a thread. Agreed in general, but I do think the Introductions forum should still be open to new users.

Hello ZooVille!

I'm just giving everyone a heads up that the user privilege permissions have been updated on the forum, along with some other changes to the layout.

NEW User Permissions:

  • To be able to access PMs (Private Messages) you must now make at least 20 posts AND you must be a member for at least 30 days on the forum.
  • Further restrictions have also been applied to the PM + Pictures privilege. You must get 150 posts on the forum AND you must be a member for 60 days to be able to send pictures in PM.
  • Note: that if you do not meet these new requirements, you may lose access to the ability to send new PMs until you meet both thresholds.

PMs are not a right, they are a privilege that needs to be earned. While setting the bar to 10 posts did cut down on lurker spam, it's become obvious that it's too easy for people to spam 10 posts and then start breaking rules in PMs. While 20 is not a hard number of posts to reach, there's nothing that can be done to subvert father time. You must be patient.

Logged Out / Guest Forum Access:

  • The ability to read the forum while you are logged out as been revoked. You'll now see the forum categories, but they will all be set to private.
  • This excludes the "ZooVille - News and Announcements" section of the forum, which will still be visible to Guests / Logged Out users.
  • The ability to use the search function while a Guest / Logged Out has been revoked. Only members with a valid account may use the search function.
  • "ZooVille.org News and Announcements" has been renamed to "ZooVille - News and Announcements" this is because "ZooVille.org" is a locked domain, and I don't think the registrar is going to give it back to us. You may also notice that this section is it's own category now and no longer a part of the general section. This was the only way to unlock it for Guests / Logged Out users.

These changes are mainly due to privacy and user safety concerns. To view the forum you HAVE to be a member of the forum. Due to the nature of zoophilia and bestiality, and due to the fact that this is the largest forum about these topics, we believe having an account should be a bare minimum requirement.

ok thank you, had me quite scared thinking i would now have to somehow create 20 different topics and such. but if if comments count, then i suppose i can try and at least say hi every now and then

This is a common problem for people that I do not understand as for me the definition of a post is entirely clear.
But I have updated the rules to explain that.

People randomly posting 20 "hot" or "understood" answers is enough. No need fir every user to create 20 void threads just to reach the threshold. 🫣

(BTW. Unless this changed, posts in "fun and games" still do not count towards the DM goal)

I see that I was getting closer to 25 shared things and still can't figure out how to message or dm people

You have the rights. I see the button to start conversation with you.

Just click in the user name, and in the openen information you should see:
"follow" "ignore" and "start conversation"

If you can not PM a partcular user, either that user does not reach the criteria yet... or has elected to block DM to him (um... *her*?)

In any case. Use the power wisely.
