User Permission Updates and Forum Changes

oof, the second one seems especially hard to reach.
i guess there's been too much spam lately?
The part about attachements in PM?
Nah That is the fun part.

Someone will fight his way to be able to attach dick pix as presentation to ladies as soon as hecsees her messages enabled.

Then, as she won't be sending back an attachement of herself naked, the guy will be reporting her as fake user 😁

Hello ZooVille!

I'm just giving everyone a heads up that the user privilege permissions have been updated on the forum, along with some other changes to the layout.

NEW User Permissions:

  • To be able to access PMs (Private Messages) you must now make at least 20 posts AND you must be a member for at least 30 days on the forum.
  • Further restrictions have also been applied to the PM + Pictures privilege. You must get 150 posts on the forum AND you must be a member for 60 days to be able to send pictures in PM.
  • Note: that if you do not meet these new requirements, you may lose access to the ability to send new PMs until you meet both thresholds.

PMs are not a right, they are a privilege that needs to be earned. While setting the bar to 10 posts did cut down on lurker spam, it's become obvious that it's too easy for people to spam 10 posts and then start breaking rules in PMs. While 20 is not a hard number of posts to reach, there's nothing that can be done to subvert father time. You must be patient.

Logged Out / Guest Forum Access:

  • The ability to read the forum while you are logged out as been revoked. You'll now see the forum categories, but they will all be set to private.
  • This excludes the "ZooVille - News and Announcements" section of the forum, which will still be visible to Guests / Logged Out users.
  • The ability to use the search function while a Guest / Logged Out has been revoked. Only members with a valid account may use the search function.
  • "ZooVille.org News and Announcements" has been renamed to "ZooVille - News and Announcements" this is because "ZooVille.org" is a locked domain, and I don't think the registrar is going to give it back to us. You may also notice that this section is it's own category now and no longer a part of the general section. This was the only way to unlock it for Guests / Logged Out users.

These changes are mainly due to privacy and user safety concerns. To view the forum you HAVE to be a member of the forum. Due to the nature of zoophilia and bestiality, and due to the fact that this is the largest forum about these topics, we believe having an account should be a bare minimum requirement.

Thank you for your understanding on the matter.
Was hopeful but now seems I've been relegated to lurker with a tourist label. Can't join a local group now. How is this helpful? Frustrating...

Yes, but it will only have a minuscule effect. This is a forum full of text, with most active threads at the top, where people forget how to read.
... and write

dumb question but I gotta ask, the "20 posts", is it messages? it's unclear.

Really hope this cuts down on some of the weirdness. Thanks for implementing this. Too bad about the ddos attack tho

I have a problem '' Page could not be loaded '' this is the effect from he new rule or not any one can tell me ?

Why would that POSSIBLY be the cause?! Are you COMPETELY new to the internet? Have we time traveled 20 years into the past and this is your first time experiencing a website disruption?

It might help everyone to understand the reasons for the changes if you list the rationale behind the need for the changes.

Was it solely because of new users spamming others? I see users that can't be messaged who have been here since March 2025 and have participated in many conversations. It's just confusing why they can't be messaged.

It would help the users understand why the mods put such actions into effect.

In short... yes.

To me, the best is the 30 days wait.
Peoplecactually wanting to be part of the site can be discovering threads and hetting tobknow people like for lonths, while most troublemakers are just gone past a few days or a couple of weeks as they see this is not what they thought

Have you considered they might not *want* to be messaged?
There is that little setting in your (and their) profile privacy page that allows you not to be DMd

So this keeps going on for about 3 weeks or so. Can't watch a clip, read a thread nothing. I've change the browser, the os, the isp... nothing works. This keeps happening.

it crashes from my viewpoint time to time. I generally avoid the forum (save for pms and stuff) since the site kinda died down to labored breathing. Hopefully it will improve but its unlikely given "THE TIMES" we are in.

I may be a mod, but now I am speaking as a regular user. :D
In my opinion the forum has about 5 years to complete collapse.
The admin, with all respect, spends very little time here which we can see from months old reports assigned to him and the server owner pretty much does not care at all and has last been seen a year ago.

I would like the site to survive, but it turns out our biggest enemies are not the DDOS attacks or antizoos. It is the lackluster approach of the server owner.

is he ok? I care only for the community to thrive overall instead of being... (whats the word...) trapped into a stereotype that labels everyone as a...degenerate. personally speaking I do not know the responsibilities of the host nor have any 'hacker/computer' skillset thats needed for any of coding stuff or funding. All i know is that i care and i want to see it thrive instead of being stuck in a world where 'Epstein' incident people are king while those who are oppressed in history (the legit zoo types) are always oppressed.

Only responds when he wants to. I told them in our telegram group what's going on. But no response.
Its almost like he set a limit for blocking ips that access more pages within a minute or two. So anyone that can't change ips has to wait like 5 minutes just to continue.
So just enjoy it.

Just posting to get DMs and call it contributing doesn't count when all talk happens in DM or on telegram.

Don't have to post porn to get messages. Just joining threads or making your own gets you more posts.
If all everyone wanted was just to hook up for a one night stand then I guess this site isnt for you. This isnt grindr, its not a dating site. Its a message board site.

is his special individual ok? that could be a cause for silence.

I'm just interested in knowing the reasons the changes were made. That's all.

From my perspective PM restrictions will cut down on the spam female users get from people who join just for the singular reason of pestering women to meet them.

Changes to the logged out state of the forum are for safety reasons. The whole internet does not need to be able to read the forum without an account.
