ZV needed a cleanse

Hello!
Was Turkey-related thread in Personal Ads deleted with some others? I planned to post there, but can't found it anymore

update:
oh, I see, makes sense now.

From the reaction here I think next time it 1. should be announced a few days in advance and 2. once it is done, it is done. No debate.
or maybe, just spitballing here, don't nuke random shit for shits and giggles? not like it really accomplished anything.

i'm still wondering what besides foreign language stuff and personals and "roll calls" got nuked. i didn't post in any of these places (besides maybe 5 replies in the czech section), but i had to lose those 1-2k posts somewhere, not like i can go search for it. it's what gives the "it was pretty much random" impression.

Tons of posts in the dumpster fire were deleted as well, that's where nearly everyone's missing posts went, I've been restoring the largest of them as I get time.

The DF was clearing, the General Discussion and User Chat, the Zoophilia and Bestiality Sexuality, the Bestiality As A Fetish, the Our Animal Companions area were also clearing.

This is your 2k comments.

But yeah. Do it.
DO IT!

so far, all the mods go "dindoo nuffin". is the forum randomly deleting itself?

was it "one guy did everything" or "we all agreed the place needed an enema"? the latter is the agreed upon story, no?
Why does it bother you so much that someone on a shitty forum slap into the cow shit and it got splattered? I don't mind at all that some of the shit generated by so many fetishist bastards got deleted.

i can repeat myself again, i can't understand it for you.

this is some bf-level shit.

nothing important got purged, or do u miss some topics?
fair enough, that's on me for expecting you to make sense for once.

it's about the principle, nothing on this forum is important.
you can literally see a mod few replies above explaining he's restoring things that weren't ment to be nuked, clearly pointing at this being a random blanket nuke with zero thought or control behind it.

u could step up and ask @FloofyNewfie if u can become a super-mod/mod-moderator so it wont happen again?

Hell, maybe someone just got fucking tired of looking at all the random dead garbage threads or those that consistently draw report after report after report for any various list of reasons. Most of what was nuked as far as I can tell was totally useless shit in most senses of the word.

What happened here, to my thinking, doesn't rise to even close to the BF version because the intent doesn't appear to be the same. Which we can all agree would be some mod with a fucking ax to grind or a sore ass personally. And, when those happened, fuck you, ask some questions and see how fast YOU get smoked too.

That hasn't been the case that I know of here, and some threads have been restored, and I sure haven't seen anyone in here who was asking legit questions about it get smoked for simply asking. I personally don't see any real loss here in any meaningful way, other than in that whole Hoarder way of looking at things like, well, it wasn't hurting anything, keep it forever, or it was possibly useful in the future so I should hold on to it until I die.

Whether it was planned or not seems irrelevant in the big picture.

There's always some asshole or whore who pulls out the fucking snowflake/abuse/rape card because he/she has sex differently and that's the only sex that works. Sex with female dog also rape?
Come to DF and talk about it there... Just come boi...
Entirely unsurprised you want to "lure" me into the dumpster fire so you can be your full abusive self together with the rest of the abusive crew, because the best you can do is strawman me here. If this is just your front facing persona in dealing with friction, and the dumpster fire is the worse version of that, I wonder how you are behind the scenes in dealing with it.

You didn't answer the question by the way.

If the dog is ok with it yes, unless you are one of the cultists that thinks all dogs are flawless carbon copies of the one that told you No.

I sort of figured you where more intelligent than this?

Shouldn't we all calm down a bit?
It's not the end of the world. The purge didn't actually hurt or kill anyone. Like has been said, if some threads seem relevant, they can be brought back or users can create new ones. It feels like people are arguing here just because they want to argue.

Of course, it's clear that this was overall poorly organized. It's a good suggestion that next time we're given even few days heads-up about what is going to happen. And if I can suggest, I encourage the forum staff to talk to each others beforehand. So everyone can be on the same page and decide together which threads and sections need to be purged.

One more suggestion: how does it sound if us ordinary users could help with the decisions? Like, for example, in the form of some anonymous poll or something. We could give our vote about what needed to be purged. It could be helpful data to the staff next time the purge is needed. However, it brings more work and I understand that it might be too much, since the staff has so much already to be taken care of.

That would be because (Drum roll, please Maestro) IT IS IRRELEVANT.
that's what puzzles me about all this. the nuke itself is irrelevant. it doesn't help anything, it doesn't clean anything. shit it was meant to target is probably back already.

it's nothing, but torching random bits of this place's history. i mean, this isn't a chatroom, it's a forum. one should be able to go look up what someone else said to/about something a year ago..

I'm NOT arguing because I want to. You are!
I didn't name any users because not everyone here are arguing. And because it's not my intention to attack anyone personally. I just wish that people could have appropriate conversations here without getting personal.

Yeah, this purge seemed like lots of overkill for items that were long time running threads. Why kill Active Girls? I'm sure there were other active threads that could also have been purged by OP's criteria that would have caused a furor. IMHO, this was a poorly executed purge with lots of unwanted overkill. It's disappointing for the users when threads they were using vanish and fosters a distrust of the mods - for good reason. Modding is hard but greater caution and care is needed when nuking threads.

A note to mods. If a mod nukes a thread that is in use, people are unlikely to replace that thread since they wonder if the mods will nuke their own accounts if they do. That is the fear here. FYI. Over modding also makes users unlikely to point out that problem to mods for fear of losing their accounts. That has been a silent undercurrent for many users for the past 4 months. Also FYI.

Restore the popular threads that people are bitching about being removed. Or take note if they can't and don't nuke popular threads again. Note our mistakes, improve and move on being better at what we do. People only notice what is done wrong, so learn what was done wrong, either undo it or learn not to do it again and improve for the future. It's not that hard. But it needs to be done.
