Looks like the south tower of the Golden Gate looking North along 101. The fog gets crazy. But across the bridge there's a little park full of California wildflowers....Theres always something in bloom there, even in the dead of Winter.

It is always a pleasure. Fishermans Wharf is a National Park site, so I get in there for free. Its a great place to watch the Sealions play "Seagull Tag", among other things. Chinatown is fun too....But the area to the south of The Bridge, holds the Presidio, which was the old Spanish administrative Center. Maybe next summer I'll run out and hit it when its open for touristas.San Francisco was a great place to visit.

The property belonged to John Charles Fremont prior to the Civil War....There are those who bitch about Robert Lee not getting Arlington back post-Surrender, but Fremont' s estate was also seized for defense purposes. He never got HIS place back either. Fremont was the first Republican Candidate for President, in 1856.
If you didnt know that was there, and suddenly the lights go on.....EEEEK!,"Octo"pussy in the dark is ok
If youre over 62 pick up a senior passport.....Theyre the best 80 bucks youll ever spend. All Park and Forest Service locations, BLM and all the various monuments are Free Entry to seniors. It was ten bucks when I got mine, but even at eighty, Id have gotten my money back in less than six months.Looked it up. We didn't visit El Presidio. Next time ....
