Picture/Clip Post Magazine (New Joiners Read 1st post)

Gerda Wegener worked in Nouveau and Deco styles. She is considered to be a lesbian eroticist, but the tags, as usual, serve to compartmentalize more than define.I found this titled "Three Thanks ln The Moonlight" but I believe the translation is punk, and that the piece is really titled "Three Graces In The Moonlight". This is why TAGS are never a good thing. The piece is beautiful of itself. Nothing else matters.Gerda Wegener 'Three Thanks To The Moonlight.jpg

By gadfrey!, I lost track of a piece I promised a very special Person, one who appreciates fine things. Another bit of the natural world as interpreted by Rene Lalique.
An Ornamental Hair Comb, of Horn, which is quite moldable when heated, and a diamond-awned stalk of grain....This is what its all about, children. Now and forever, Beauty needs no excuse. It simply IS.Comb of Horn with branch of diamonds.jpg

For Miz Kristy, especially.
Another Lalique Brooch, "Phyrne"...depicting a Courtesan of Ancient Athens....According to legend, she ran foul of the City Laws, and was brought to trial. Her case was lost until her lawyer or representative pulled her top down. When the beauty of her breasts was exposed to the jury, she was acquitted of all wrongdoing. Phyrne became a celebrated subject of song and play.View attachment 425448
That sure proves that the blindfold of justice doenst work :ROFLMAO:

It wasn't Justice's Blindfold that got lifted....

Phyrne apparently was not a pretty woman....The name is the genus of Toads. I suspect the story is a sort of allegory for not judging a manuscript by its Umbillicus and Cornua.
Given the timbre of the times, "Nudge, nudge( wink, wink...), say no more..." seems appropos.
