For all the early to mid 2000s geeks out there...

Anybody else used to love playing around with batch files? I used to have all kinds of fun with it like deleting "system 32" and commanding the computer to shut down. Heck, I even made a shutdown batch file that would copy itself and paste itself into the system's startup folder, so that once the computer rebooted itself it would endlessly keep rebooting itself over and over again when it got to the desktop. That is, unless you knew the "shutdown -a" command. Lol

This is new to me!

The comics were SOO much darker than the show. I only remember reading a few back in the day but it was not all happy and upbeat like the cartoon lol
The wiki actually has a disclaimer on it warning that it's not Nickelodeon and there's a lot of darker more mature material to the franchise. The '87 series totally kidified it.

But nothing was ever as dark or disturbing in the Turtle mania than one of these, especially when the eyes were definitely not where they should be loltmnt.jpg

Venus, the female turtle was from Next Mutation. It was made by Saban at the same time Power Rangers was at its peak. So it was very much a Power Rangers show in a Turtles wrapper.
There's a female turtle in the new IDW continuity, Jenika, she's a fucking terrifying badass who wields claws.

I typed "shutdown /a" so many times in school it wasn't funny. Fortunately the fools who knew "/m" never learned "/p /f".
