Zooville Feedback and bug reporting thread.

Trying to make up more posts to get my messages back again.. but whilst here. I find it’s incredibly slow sometimes, usually vpn running. All other sites load fine but sometimes seem to lag a lot on ZV.

They are Staff, not moderators

Must be a difference. Running the site and maintaining it is different to Moderating it I would think

And there are many here with the skills to maintain the site i would hazzard a guess
didnt see any real alternatives speaking up/suggesting solutions - if all continues its only a matter of time till the forum stays down on some next breakdown

While this is something many could do, you don't want someone who is not fully trustworthy doing it. They have a lot of power of the site, and have to both have integrity enough to not abuse the power, and the skill set to now allow the site to start leaking data and stuff.

I can host a hobby site no problem, even set up Cloudflare. I would not want to take on the responsibility for something like ZV, nor should anyone be stupid enough to trust me with it.

It's less about volunteers and more about actually finding someone who is suitable for it.

I’m experiencing slowness while browsing — it’s not network-related but seems like some kind of blockage. A refresh on the IP might help.

Congratulations, you're the 5,000th person to bitch about that. You've hit the magic number to make the admin team to flip the switch to stop the ddos attacks.

Sadly, it doesn't seem that @SloppyTac0 has much interest in addressing the issue. The recently implemented Anti-DOS protocols are a real pain. Yet another reason that having a decent VPN provider helps as the only work around right now is changing IP addresses. It must be a real pain for the forums staff getting their work done unless they've been granted exceptions. I know that group owners/moderators have to struggle with the imposed limitations. *grumbles and sighs*
