lack of moderation in different language section

noone who is fitting for that role is wanting to do it xD its a big shitshow alot of work with a super old buggy/broken system with nearly zero positive recognition of the normal user
Glad to hear about the respectful ZV userbase saving the say once again 🦊👍

Although, truth be told, I am a bit concerned about the Romanian thread which doesn't see a lot of action anyway, plus there's a few people who don't let it turn into a shitshow

NUKE

We can't get as many moderators as there are people who speak European languages, and even if we do, we never know which moderator does what, because we can't check it because of the language.
The entire forum should be in English. If someone want to talk in own language, there's the DM.
And can also delete the entire group function with the same gesture.

I understand the need for moderation. I would understand the necessary solutions.
99% of people here were able to learn how to speak English.
That is not true for the French section. We are so bad with foreign langages, the school system is really bad for that. Most of us started learning English at 10. I met true zoos IRL that could not say an English sentence. There will be some old zoos excluded that are here on the forum for weather chat. Know what you will nuke. And if you do so, please do it with a red rocket.

I can assure you from previous experience, that this discussion is purely theoretical.

It could be useful to have multilingual forum members moderating the non-English sections here, but how would forum staff verify that these forum members can be trusted? Even if you can dabble in multiple languages, you might refrain from offering to moderate certain sub-forums: being invited is more a sign of trust than volunteering yourself.

As an occasional user of the forum in Spanish (native speaker) I can say that if you close it we'll lose countless posts made by fetishists, curious people, futile attempts at making zoo communities, soliciting, underlying pedo, fake people, and such. Few threads are worthy in my opinion. Just a minority of users are true zoos. Wait, maybe it is like this whole forum but with the bad aspects exacerbated 😄

Then the French should make themselves a dedicated French zoo forum then. The Germans have one already, some Germans also have trouble with English. But said German forum has decayed into a quite beasty-minded dating site. You know why? Lack of moderation!

Most European countries speak English poorly, especially the smaller ones. Yet they can understand it. I never studied it either and I can still communicate with it, only the grammar is bad because I never studied it, but I can put the words together.

In addition, there are several free translators.

They used to have one but they got some trouble with justice. Sometimes peole chat about restarting something... guess where ;)
especially the smaller ones
It depends what you mean by "size"... France is big and bad, Denmark, Dutchland, Iceland, Luxembourg, Monacco doesn't match ... Portugal, Serbia, Romania does match...

yes, non-english sub sections are a mistake. we'll never know how much shit noone bothered or dared to translate-report went under the radar. vile shit shouldn't fly anywhere.

and if "we" loose some folk who can't type in english? so fucking what? never too late to learn something new anyway.

There's also a big problem translating some languages, it's not unusual for several of us to try and translate something only to end up with different translations or a whole lot of senseless gibberish.

Here's an example of what we often have to deal with, no clue what language it was supposed to be originally.

Feed the tea placed in the museum, the sea lions use shoes, can see the frozen Germany, the green clip penguin skirt, the thickest sweat stain is the nine-tailed mouse skirt, leave your wine for your mountain goodness
