Doesn't just moving a thread to the dumpster fire every time a group of users continuously haze someone, just encourage them to take down any thread(s) they collectively don't like, without any repercussions? Then they're free to continue in a gloves off environment whether or not the OP is wanting to?

lol, that's the same, "poke the bear" or "I'm not touching you" aka antagonization/blame-shifting method(s) so many use until the target/victim, understandably, becomes angry, frustrated, and/or emotional in response to his mistreatment. Then use the target/victim's reaction as "proof" that the victim is the abusive one, turning the situation around to portray themselves as the victim.

Fact you need to pick up on: Sarcasm in a forum post *RARELY* gets noticed these days unless it's laid on so thick that not even the dumbest moron can possibly miss it, even after having had his eyes gouged out with a rusty spoon, or it's explicitly tagged as being sarcasm. And even when it's laid on real thick, it can (and in MANY cases DOES) get missed due to the concept of "So many people online means that there are a shitload of them who *ARE NOT BEING EVEN A LITTLE BIT SARCASTIC* when they say something as incredibly over-the-top as "Let's go round up every lesbian we can get our hands on, run them through a wood-chipper feet-first, and use what comes out the other end to repave Highway 29".

Put another way, it's become an accepted fact that the online population has reached the point where it's a given that if you look around, it won't take long before you find some fruitcake who *ACTUALLY THINKS THE EXAMPLE SCENARIO GIVEN ABOVE IS PERFECTLY VALID AND HONESTLY WANTS THE PROJECT TO START FIRST THING TOMORROW MORNING*.

In other words, the line between "This guy's just being sarcastic - NOBODY is actually *THAT* insane!" and "Holy shit! This raving nutcase is *COMPLETELY SERIOUS* - QUICK! CALL THE COPS!!!" has become so blurred that unless there's a clear indication that something is sarcasm, it's very likely going to be accepted at face value until further clarification is found. ESPECIALLY when it's delivered dead-pan in a thread that's mostly (if not entirely) serious.

It's a variation on the whole "The Sky is Falling!" or "OMG, there's a wolf!" concept - we've gotten so accustomed to the nutcases who are completely serious when they say "Tomorrow, I'm gonna shoot the president" that trying to sort the sarcastic from the serious has become nearly impossible without a "warning label".

i mean lets be real, no body is holding up their id or birth cert for age verification so its really if you think they are too young or not. there is not a single person here that has the same veiw on age as another ( personally i know some 18-19s that look too young, just as i know some 15 yr olds that look 20) (( normal life btw, not sexually ) and yes most are obvious, but you have to agree some can be questionable, and without knowing for sure we ere on the side of saftey , totally agree.

what im saying is that if someone post a clip, pic, vid etc as the op/ thread starter...and that thread is up and active, anyone responding to that thread is under the assumption its a legal thread, so if commenter #3 responds to commenter #1 (OP) with said requested video, how are they to be punished the same as the person who posted the first one? any thread that it active, i assume it is an acceptable thread, thus any response i would send related to it would be allowed, its not my fualt as a thread responder that that post wasnt moderated and taken down

how is someone whos been a perfect member for years, insta banned and treated the same, just for commenting .when in reality what failed was moderation to catch the original post and stop others from being able to comment. then not even give those people a chance to talk to staff about it. could a temporary mute or hold be place on an account until its discussed maybe?


so many people are afraid to post anything here because they are afraid of one thing or another. obviously you cant verify every thread, but maybe in certain areas, a approval process should be implemented, "request" for example
