Oh Hey, ZV was updated. But quick news in here.

YES, IT WAS RESETED. How hard is it to understand that the account was reseted and ONLY THEN I spammed the comments with "."? The account had totally normal comments BEFORE the spam, like 2 weeks ago. And then one day It was reseted for nothing and ONLY THEN I spammed the "." comments to test
Jesus.......

Do you actually understand english or do you just not have a grasp on grammar? Legit question. Because it appears to be BOTH THINGS. The grammar part, who really cares if you dont know how that works.....

Here is the important part you are missing, apparently......

When you are told, BY A MOD, that your account was NOT reset, but instead that your missing posts are deleted IN DELETED THREADS and also individually deleted spam posts.......the KEY POINT in the statement is that what dropped you BACK to no DM status is the fact that a large chunk of your comments were in THREADS that no longer exist, just like your posts....GONE.

The other info, that your spam happy attempt to get you DMs back were ALSO later deleted is just a small bit of ADDITIONAL information SEMI relevant to the POINT.

The mods, can see ALL your posts, period. The ones that YOU can see, AND,the ones that have been deleted by YOU, OR BY THE MOD TEAM. And, just as importantly, WHERE AND WHEN THE POST WAS MADE.

So, in conclusion, if a mod is telling you that the bulk of your missing posts were deleted in in the form of ENTIRE THREADS being deleted, then that, my dimwitted friend, is what happened. Because HE can still see those posts, even if you cant.

@pes is telling you exactly that AND providing you a bit of EXTRA context in telling you that your spam happy phase was also deleted because it was spam.

The MAIN fact, which keeps sailing over your head is ENTIRE threads have been deleted, and with them, YOUR posts.

Your spamming attempts are not the key point. Those were AFTER the fact.

Forum membership is a privilege not a right. Access to PMs is a privilege not a right. 20 posts is not a difficult target to overcome. If someone has had an account for nearly 2 years but doesn't have 20 posts, (once questionable threads and spam have been deleted), then complaints about forum mistreatment aren't going to be viewed sympathetically. That spamming is not part of the main forum's rules is probably an oversight. Most forums view spamming as a permanent banning offence.

I'm not sure if the following problem is related to your news, but... it seems the website is not accessable in WIFI, and i mean ANY wifi. Looks like Telekom and Vodafone and other services are blocking zooville after 5-ish minutes. After that, the site won't load anymore, UNLESS i activate mobile-data, then it works just fine. Very weird

Sounds like the site's any spam/ddos settings. There's a timed page view limit, if you view too many pages in a short time you get locked out for a bit. Your switching to mobile data doesn't "fix" anything, it just bypasses the temporary IP lock and resets the page view limit.

Yea, i seem to do that on many websites. I want to download important stuff and search around the pages pretty fast. The system thinks i'm a DDOS attacker xD

EDIT: it seems the IP lock is not going away. 12 and more hours are over ans i still can't access zooville in WIFI, regardless which one. Only able to access it with mobile-data. Maybe my phone is blocked. I would contact support by email, but they don't answer at all.

Are you using a VPN or TOR?

So I suggest downloading TOR and using that.
Because otherwise you are using either your ISP who can literally trivially see what you are visiting or you are using some obscure VPN you do not know anything about. So you shift your absolute trust from your ISP to your VPN, both companies that are interested in what you are doing.

GIF avatars are now broken.
Choose a gif that is about 1MB in size, upload it as your avatar and observe it move in the avatar change dialog.
It will not move anywhere else.

Something I just noticed. If we sign in with the TOR address, everything works as it should except for one thing. When you go to "Mark all alerts read" on the alerts page, the dialog window opens up, but the button link in the dialog defaults to the zooville.net domain and not the tor domain. If you use the browser back button to go back to the tor page, all of them are marked as read, so its working its just redirecting incorrectly.
Just noticed this behaves the same way when I tried to rename a thread of mine to update the date. The button directs me to zooville.net and not back to the TOR address. But like before if I go back with my browser and refresh the page, the updated title is there. So its just the redirect.

Edit... same thing for starting a new PM, button redirects to zoovilleforum.net

Yeah...
And I spent two hours making my new avatar, a 41-frame gif file, putting HUD panels on each frame to keep them static. And in the end, it was all for nothing.

I thought the whole thing was AI :D
I lost my blinking bear to the update, so I made a new pic which unfortunately is static.

No, AI was once to generate the cyberpunk background, then I put the girl together with it on Photoshop, then again AI to make 4 seconds dynamic gif. And after that, don't ask... Making the HUD panels layer in Photoshop again, then multiplying that layer 41 times, one for each pic frame, merging each pic frame with his hud panel frame, and saving everything as gif.

The gif has been broken for a few months now because it uses too much noisy compression. So there were problems with it before.

Pes' old bear avatar was much nicer.

I just discovered that the media section of the groups is no longer accessible when accessed it displays: "Oops! We ran into some problems. The requested page could not be found."
The groups still don't have video's hope that will be fixed soon
It's something I'll have to look into (if the server admin doesn't beat me to it.) Basically for right now the media plugin is completely disabled, likely because it was giving us some issues. When I get some spare time I'll see if I can configure it again. I was going to get some things fixed this past weekend, but then I came down with a rather nasty flu and didn't feel like doing diddly squat, as you can imagine. Right now I'm too busy with life stuff.

@FloofyNewfie can we turn off the displaying of PMs in your search?
It is really making searching for threads quickly annoying.
I'd have to look into it again, but if I remember correctly, I was going to disable it on ZCA but it turned out that it wasn't a simple settings change and you had to literally mess with the forum's core files and modify code to get rid of it.

Get well soon.
