• NOTICE: Welcome back to Zooville! We've had to completely rebuild the server and restore data from backups after a non-security-related hardware incident. Please allow some time for the dust to settle. The site may be slow and not all features may work immediately. Intermittent downtime may occur while we work to restore the site.

Latest backup was from July 8th, so anything after that date will have been lost but that should have been less than 24 hours of data.

While restoring from backups we're also upgrading to the latest forum software.

What is your favourite games/game series of all time?

I can't specify rank two or below for me, but I definitely know my all-time no. 1: Hollow Knight. The only game that I expect to be able to top it is its (not yet released) successor Silksong.

for me in no particular order:
quake 3 arena
unreal tournament
GTA 3/V
age of empires 2
red alert 2/3
portal 2
simcity 3000

This is a hard question since I've played (and loved) lots of games in my life, but I'll try to do a list of the ones which left me with something more than the simple pleasure of gaming (if I don't specify I mean the entire saga)
Okami
Hollow Knight
The Last Guardian
God of war
Metro
Dead Space
Metal gear solid
Silent Hill
Soul Reaver
Dragon Quest V
Final Fantasy VII
Doom
Fallout 3

and a game for Nintendo DS that I think not many of you will know (probably)...
Solatorobo: Red the hunter

I have lots of titles in my mind, but it would be too much mentioning them all...

I'll do my top ten:

Mass effect (2 being the best)
The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time
The legend of Zelda Majora's Mask
Red dead redemption 2
Red dead redemption
Tomb raider
The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess
The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker
Final Fantasy VIII
Resident Evil (excluding 5 & 6)

This won't be easy, but here goes...
Diablo series
Sacred 1&2 (3 is a hoax, not even same devs)
Elder Scrolls series, including dlc like Enderal
Assassins Creed Series (doing Odyssey now)
Elite series (doing Odyssey now)
Fable series (doing 3 now)
Tomb Rider series (doing Shadow and Rise now)
Half-Life series
Civilization, Empyrion, Subnautica, Agony Unrated, Alien Isolation, Witcher, Lust, No Man's Sky, Carmageddon,

Then games that I played when younger:
Doom, Quake, Unreal, Duke Nukem, Hexen, Heretic, Warcraft 2, Command & Conquer, AvP, Rise of the Triad, Age of Empires, Max Payne, Call of Duty, Freelancer,

I could go on much longer, but these were just the ones on top of my head.

Top 5 Gaming Series

1. Gears of War
2. Saint's Row
3. Halo
4. Grand Theft Auto
5.Sonic The Hedgehog

And...i know it's not a series, but a special shout out to Phasmophobia....It's all I've been playing recently

My favorite Games:

1. Garry's Mod
2. Satisfactory
3. Borderlands (1 & 2)
4. Minecraft
5. Skyrim
6. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lichking
7. Darkness 2
8. Sims 4 (mostly for Adult Mod gameplay)

That's a difficult thing to narrow down, but I'll make an attempt:

Fav Video Game series (Not in any particular order):

The Sims
The Elder Scrolls
Dead or Alive
Thief
Quake
Mortal Kombat
Postal
Serious Sam
Unreal Tournament
Batman (Arkham Series)
Carmageddon
Grand Theft Auto
Tomb Raider
Star Wars: Dark Forces (Series)
Max Payne

My favorite games are too many to mention, it would take me forever and the list would go on too long. All this and, like I said; it's hard to narrow down.

And here I was thinking I was the only one who had ever even heard of Carmageddon, let alone played it. ??? I just recently bought the version that let me play it on Win10. Superfun, although I'm always reluctant to go anywhere near the cows, except for admiring them. Did you btw see the cow-bordello in one of the cities?

Yeah, it took me a while to get comfortable with that... It's shocking, but isn't that the idea? I liked that Carmageddon 2 allowed you to turn off the animals, but keep the pedestrian violence. Wish they had stuck with that.

Of course I found it, it's right next to Maim Street's first Checkpoint! If you don't explore, are you really playing Carmageddon? ;) Was that Carmageddon: Max Damage that you bought?

I imagine everyone else is going: "What the fuck are they talking about!?" right about now.

Yeah, Max Damage it was. Got it for like 1$ on sale.

Exploration is the main thing I think... without it it's just another racing game, just a bit more violent than others. And the random addups keeps it interesting, the joy when finding the electrocute ray, and the frustration when you suddenly wheigh as much as a bulldozer.

Yeah. I'd say play Carmageddon 2 if you ever are interested in the original games. That's considered the best one, but the original three games are much more satisfying than Max Damage, in my opinion. They just feel and play better.

Yeah, I have played them. The thing is that they are too old for my computers, and I don't wanna mess around w emulators anymore. So Max Damage will do for now. It's not half bad anyway so it's ok.

Maybe... some say you can run them in compatibility mode (for like win7 or so), but it doesn't work for me. Anyway it's too much fuss, so I'll stick to what works, and right now that's Max Destruction.

In no particular order...

Legend of Zelda
World of Warcraft (Wrath of the Lich King if I have to choose an expansion)
Diablo 2 and 3
Dungeon Defenders Awakening
Minecraft
Civilization 6
Portal 2

I think my Favorite Game Series is Half-Life. When I first got into gaming it was the Diablo Series.

Now I have 22 games installed on Steam right now, but only play a couple once in a while.
the ones I play now are:
-Battle Grounds III (a Half-Life 18th Century Mod)
-Conan Exiles.

Before that I was playing:
-Rust
-CS:GO
-TeraUrge (don't think that's on Steam though)

Games that I still have, but haven't played in a while:
-ARMA
-Destiny 2
-DayZ
-Guns of Icarus
-No Man's Sky
-Mount & Blade (mostly the Napoleonic version)
-Portal
-Star Conflict
-Team Fortress Classic
-Valheim
-WoW

I simply love Animal Crossing and other games like the Sims and stuff where I can create my own character and world.

But I'm also a big fan of JRPG's and just saw the trailer for Kingdom Hearts 4 and I'm so excited!
