Does anyone have experience or knowledge of American Indian Dogs?

I think these dogs are just beautiful, and I'm considering getting one. They are not to be confused with "Native American Indian Dogs," which have longer coats, and they are definitely not dog-wolf cross breeds. You can find more information about them at http://www.indiandogs.com. If anyone has had any real life experience with them, sexy or otherwise, please share!

The website that you linked is in reference to Native American Indian Dogs, they describe them very extensively as being documented in Lewis & Clark’s endeavors, so I’m not sure what the difference is between the dog you’re describing, and the American Indian Dog.

In any case, these dogs look an awful lot like other plains type working dogs, such as Australian Cattle dogs. These dogs have a very high energy level, and require extensive exercise to maintain a healthy weight and metabolism. The dogs can be fairly territorial, and show herding instincts by nature. If you don’t have the space to exercise a dog like that, or access to a space, then having a high energy working breed like that may not be a good fit for either of you.
