It's not up to you to determine how this lifestyle works. It's different for everybody. And why have a personals section then? You don't have to look at them or read them, but some people use them as a way to communicate with others around them who might be interested. It is very much one of the several different ways this "lifestyle" works.
It has only EVER been there to keep all the pathetic meaningless thirst posts from infecting and cluttering the rest of the forum. ALL the mods would prefer they don't even exist.
Like I said, I've actually met cool people here due to them. More than once.
I didn't delete a single thread from the exclusive section, all the off topic posts were moved to the correct section which took hours instead of minutes like simply deleting them would have taken.

Honestly, personal ads SHOULD be dumped at a year. What good is an ad over a year old anyway? Make a new one if you're still active here, get flushed if you're not. Simple.

It's been *REALLY* slow-loading in spurts for the last couple of days. Seems that this happens periodically, and takes a restart (on the forum end) to cure it. I'm guessing a slow memory leak in the forum software that eventually builds up to the point where the server starts thrashing as it tries to find enough unclaimed memory to do what it needs to do. Once restarted, the leaked memory is freed, and the system can go back to "proper behavior".
