Male and a zoo. I’ve been trying to meet with people and everyone being verified would be awesome
Roughly eighty percent of the users are male, so verifying that isn't super useful. I mean it's quite believable anyway. How would you verify that you are a zoo though?

Not sure, gotta be a way tho

I believe for it to work - it would have to be an option only available to a member who is at least ranked a ZooVille Settler who has been respectful, so as not to overburden our Staff and Forum with too many verification requests.

Verification Process
Step 1) A Member (ZooVille Settler or above) books a verification request which is only available in their 'Accounts page'
Step 2) The Staff member then will arrange a 10 minute verification session with that certain Member
Step 3) The Staff member will then request a composition from the member i.e. 'Please photograph yourself in the following composition - write this verification number on your chest, sitting topless on the floor with your legs crossed, with a towel draped over your head. This verification session will time-out after 10 minutes'

Note: the key to a good Timestamp request is in the detail of the composition, this will make it nearly impossible for a fake member to edit and use their fake verification photographs that they have stored.

Make a section purely for verified owners for meet-ups ? All you’d need to verify is a picture with the animal and a piece of paper with their username on it. Wouldn’t be difficult for moderators for confirm identity’s and would clean up the meet up section by allowing people to just DM instead of posting a 1000 reply’s per 1 owner lol

Because the number of owners that are going to willingly participate in such a thing will be so few that it won't be worth the effort. It's a simple matter of security owners don't want to risk themselves and their mates being outed. Plus people can just rip random pictures of dogs off of the internet claiming to be an owner.

I don’t think you quite understood the suggestion if I’m being honest, what my suggestion was for all the owners already advertising on the meet up page have either a seperate category for verified owners where they can post their ads on what their looking for so people can just DM instead of polluting forums constantly.

Also to prevent fake owners I proposed a idea where similar to the R/roast me subreddit if your familiar where you post a picture with your pet and a physical piece of paper with your username on it and send that to a admin to get a possible “Verified owner” role applied to where you can post in the appropriate channels.

So, you want to be protected against fake owners. What will your loss be if you encuter a fake owner? What will an owners loss be if he encounters a fake Wannabeknotted who turns ou to be a kiwifarmer or a journalist from a tabloid. That verification makes just as much sense.

It would be completely up to the owner if they want to do it of course but if your out there looking for volunteers there’s no really going around flakes unfortunately, it’s just a part of life. But what dosent have to be is the people who say their owners purely so they have something to jack off to when people message them about their “dog” it’s just a suggestion anyway:)
