Thanks for the update
They can DM each other about things that would get them banned from the forum. That's one of the main reasons they're so worried about DM.if you're PMing people, how hard is it to interact publicly too?
To add to that, I hope that @dyno is familiar with the concept of private conversation. Not everyone else needs to hear the every conversation. Hence the concept. People can branch off from a general discussion and take it private. Or they just might be conspiring to take over the entire planet - through zoofiliaThey can DM each other about things that would get them banned from the forum. That's one of the main reasons they're so worried about DM.
Another is to approach womens for sexual purposes.
And the third is that they want to talk to a member, maybe show pictures of their pets, and they don't want to do that on a public forum because it's not safe.
Try doing your math again. There are NOT 30 days between Oct 25 and Nov 18.Hi I feel that I should be able pm how do I find out because it still will not let me
bwright? - he bwrong, more to the point!Try doing your math again. There are NOT 30 days between Oct 25 and Nov 18.
10 posts in 3.5 years hardly qualifies as "plenty of times". That's 1 post every 4 months, and they're all either comments on porn or recent complaints that you can't PM anymore because you lost some in the Great Personal Purge. Periodic inactivity does not change the fact you were never someone posting and interesting enough take to private conversation.have posted , commented, PM'd etc plenty of times.
Even if I count the threads deleted over the summer, you could have had a maximum of 30-50 posts.plenty of times
The type of reaction I expected. . .10 posts in 3.5 years hardly qualifies as "plenty of times". I really just want to post when I am able without losing permissions. I deleted posts and info out of frustration. That's just me.The type of reaction I expected. . .
I do have a life outside of this site as well as the subject.
Kinda sucks for members who had met the requirement previously, but in the name of security, it makes sense.Having connectivity issues? See message below
This is a known problem unrelated to the update. Read this carefully:
Hello ZooVille!
I'm just giving everyone a heads up that the user privilege permissions have been updated on the forum, along with some other changes to the layout.
NEW User Permissions:
- To be able to access PMs (Private Messages) you must now make at least 20 posts AND you must be a member for at least 30 days on the forum AND wait 24 hours for automation to do the change. What is a post?
- Further restrictions have also been applied to the PM + Pictures privilege. You must get 150 posts on the forum AND you must be a member for 60 days to be able to send pictures in PM.
- Note: that if you do not meet these new requirements, you may lose access to the ability to send new PMs until you meet both thresholds.
PMs are not a right, they are a privilege that needs to be earned. While setting the bar to 10 posts did cut down on lurker spam, it's become obvious that it's too easy for people to spam 10 posts and then start breaking rules in PMs. While 20 is not a hard number of posts to reach, there's nothing that can be done to subvert father time. You must be patient.
Logged Out / Guest Forum Access:
- The ability to read the forum while you are logged out as been revoked. You'll now see the forum categories, but they will all be set to private.
- This excludes the "ZooVille - News and Announcements" section of the forum, which will still be visible to Guests / Logged Out users.
- The ability to use the search function while a Guest / Logged Out has been revoked. Only members with a valid account may use the search function.
- "ZooVille.org News and Announcements" has been renamed to "ZooVille - News and Announcements" this is because "ZooVille.org" is a locked domain, and I don't think the registrar is going to give it back to us. You may also notice that this section is it's own category now and no longer a part of the general section. This was the only way to unlock it for Guests / Logged Out users.
These changes are mainly due to privacy and user safety concerns. To view the forum you HAVE to be a member of the forum. Due to the nature of zoophilia and bestiality, and due to the fact that this is the largest forum about these topics, we believe having an account should be a bare minimum requirement.
Thank you for your understanding on the matter.
Another update: October 4th, 2025: Changes to Groups...
As of October 4th, 2025: The ability to create new groups in the social groups area of the forum has been disabled for all members. This is mainly because there's too many of them already, and our moderators are not able to effectively moderate them due to issues with the plug-in itself. The groups plug-in is, quite frankly, broken. If this update is reversed, I'll let everyone know. But for the time being you may join groups, leave groups, interact with groups, post threads, post photos, post events, etc. but you will not be able to create NEW groups.

Ya this makes total sense. It's a pain though lolI get that a lot of new or more inactive users may be annoyed or inconvenienced by these changes, but as a new user I honestly welcome it. It's good to make a decent amount of posts before messaging others because it actually gives them an idea of who you are, what you're about, and your values. The 30 days rule also roots out those who aren't actually that interested in the community. That, and keeping other sections of the forum private keeps more of us safe, although of course it's only to such an extent and is on us to be responsible and maintain decent OpSec.
