User Permission Updates and Forum Changes

Good changes. This also reduces non-zoos being on here nor doxxing others since they won't have the patience to post so many things. I like this

I have a question, what do you mean by a locked domain?

A few years ago we lost the .org domain and had to switch to the current .net.
 
Excellent update and changes! Less horny pervs, scammers and fools - the better. Would be great to set 50 or 100 posts to unlock PM's but 20 is fair enough. 30 day probation period is cool, higher requirments for posting pics as well.

Hmm... I can probably go ahead and reverse that later today. At one point it was intentional, funnily enough. We used to have a certain nasty ban dodging troll that would spam and harass people he personally disliked with 100s of :mad: reactions before he'd get banned again. At the time this was happening, we decided to remove a newer member's ability to give reactions.

But, if this troll is still here on the forum, he's been awfully quiet as of late. This restriction was also implemented when I was still a Moderator, and not an Administrator. I've since discovered that I can just wipe reactions given in the admin panel.

So, I think I can probably go ahead and restore reaction giving to newer users at this point. I actually didn't even think of this restriction when making the recent changes, as that change was made years ago.

You must be patient.

Logged Out / Guest Forum Access:

  • The ability to read the forum while you are logged out as been revoked. You'll now see the forum categories, but they will all be set to private.
  • This excludes the "ZooVille - News and Announcements" section of the forum, which will still be visible to Guests / Logged Out users.
  • The ability to use the search function while a Guest / Logged Out has been revoked. Only members with a valid account may use the search function.
  • "ZooVille.org News and Announcements" has been renamed to "ZooVille - News and Announcements" this is because "ZooVille.org" is a locked domain, and I don't think the registrar is going to give it back to us. You may also notice that this section is it's own category now and no longer a part of the general section. This was the only way to unlock it for Guests / Logged Out users.

These changes are mainly due to privacy and user safety concerns. To view the forum you HAVE to be a member of the forum. Due to the nature of zoophilia and bestiality, and due to the fact that this is the largest forum about these topics, we believe having an account should be a bare minimum requirement.

Does this have something to do with how the site has been erratically available lately. I have been assuming some kind of DDoS has been underway.
 
I take note of the changes. I appreciate them and admit that they are reasonable and necessary. A community that protects its members has a better chance of surviving in the cloud. Many thanks to the administrators. Hopefully we will all be better protected here.

So when do we get the ability to like and react to post back? ive been on here for over a year or so and im not a lurker.
 
I totally understand the change and am behind it.

That said, annoyingly with the forum purge a few months back, the large chunk of my posts got deleted, bringing me to back down to below 20 posts…I guess it’s time to start posting more!
