I think you are under the misapprehension that the admin team is paid, and they're all god's gift to IT!

To my knowledge they're all volunteers from all walks of life and they all do what they can do with the time they have and the knowledge and permissions they possess!

If you think you can do better, my guy, have at it! Make your own forum, choose your own admin team and show us all up! Do it!

It's one thing to take potshots off the sideline, quite another to be in the middle of it, having others take potshots at you!

Fixed:​

• I've gotten rid of the "Featured Content" widget on the side of the forum.

• Edit 1: Fixed logo size for PC users.

• Edit 2: Removed "Trending Content" widget from the side of the forum.

• Edit 3: Removed "Share this page" widget from the side of the forum.


Temporarily Fixed:​

• Uploading images to the forum. Image optimization addon is currently temporarily disabled, which is what was causing the images to become corrupted after uploading them.

Unfixed/Broken:​

• Groups (the groups still exist in the nodes and have not been deleted, but the Social Groups addon is broken, and if it can be updated, it will have to be updated by the server admin.)

• Images flipping when uploading for some users using mobile.

• Page timeouts when posting.

• Replies to profile posts themselves are not highlightable.

Yes, a handful of things are still broken on the forum. Once something is fixed I'll move it to the "fixed" category.

Trying to look at someone's post history will timeout more often than not, another annoying issue is with the approval queue no longer having any links to user profiles, having to copy and paste them is very, very time consuming.

Next time one comes in the queue, go ahead and leave it up and I'll take a look. I know ZCA used to be that way after the first 2.3.x update, but now it's closer to normal.

I think I found the issue, ZCA is on a higher version of the spam detention addon, and there's several more customizable options that ZV doesn't have with the older version. I just recently got in contact with the server admin again, so I'll ask him about it once we get some of the other issues worked out.
 
Seems to me that you guys are doing upgrades using chopsticks through a very tiny hole. Highly limiting and difficult to maintain momentum!

Very much agree! It's just unfortunate the notifications are broken for groups which seriously affects activity. Most members of groups, including my own Spiritual Zoos and Zooromantic groups both of which have a large userbase, don't notice when anyone posts new stuff unless they habitually check in regularly. Places like this really are little oasis of like-hearted people and even with the notification issues, it's still great to have it. If Zoocadia had groups, I wouldn't even bother with these and I'd just focus on populating those.

Either way it would be nice to purge this site of the many redundant groups.

Just for the fun of it, can you try the "general search" at the top-right of the page? I'm getting 503 errors
 
Would it be possible to plan and announce a long maintenance of ZooVille once and for all?
It’s really starting to get exhausting that every other refresh results in a “database error, please try again later”. It happens to me like 50 times a day — it’s horrible…
 
I tried to look at Mare Lover 1975's post history. It struggled for about 8+ seconds and then loaded. Curiously it only loaded the most recent post and then everything backwards from September 2021. It was as if the database in between was either missing or hadn't yet been re-integrated.

Just feedback - no complaints.
