Was following the Goldstud group, but left for unrelated reasons. Not interested in the discussion within anymore, but I keep getting notified when one specific topic updates. Tried Watching/Unwatching, but I'm still getting updates. Help?

The entire group section of the site is an add-on plugin, which is full of bugs. As a plugin there's little hope of a fix unless the plugin coder addresses it with an update, which would then need to be installed, assuming it's even still compatible with the outdated forum version the site still runs.

Known bug.
The group section is not a default Xenforo, but a crappy add-on that is not updated and buggy. We have asked a thousand times to remove it because it is pointless and poses security issues. Minimal people use it, there would be no problem if it were removed.

@FloofyNewfie hey, how far behind in versions are we?
Seeing as the copyright date shown in the "platform by...." line at the bottom of each page is 2023, that suggest no less than 2 years worth of "behind", though, not being someone who gives much of a rip about version numbers, so long as the software works, I have no idea how many "versions" that would involve...

For some software packages, 2 years is two "x.x.#" bug-swat version bumps. For others (I'm looking at you, Firefox) that's roughly 300+ "x.x.###" bug-swat versions, a few dozen "x.###.x" "feature add/bug-swat versions, and perhaps 3-5 "#.x.x" "major revision" versions...

If you're still having an issue with notifications about a topic when there are new posts it may be due to your account settings/preferences. This is most likely true if you created the thread/content in question. By default you will receive notifications for content you create. You should be able to view your preferences through this link and uncheck any 'problem' boxes.

I've solved it, I just never come on here anymore and it's not a problem. Only saw your message bc I'm trying to help a friend recover their account.
