Two long overdue needed discussion categories

I think two sections have been needed on this forum from the beginning, and I've finally after all these years gotten around to saying something. Yay me.

First, it's never made sense to me that this forum tries to promote a genuine zoophilic conception of interspecies relationships over the usual completely fetish (and abuse) culture seen nearly everywhere else, but there's only two sections for discussing it on here, both being at opposite ends of the spectrum with nothing in the middle: Zoo Exclusive and Bestiality As A Fetish. That's it. I think it's long overdue for something in the middle for those like myself who are not fond of treating nonhuman animals partnership as a fetish nor interested in supporting such an idea by adding to content in related sections of a forum, and are not posting as an exclusive or about exclusivity either.

Additionally there's been a need for a general furry section which I've suggested before recently. Currently the only furry section is under stories and writing, and if you look at the threads in there you will see just how crazy it has been in there from the beginning. It's a melting pot of all related and unrelated furry posts. I think it would be better to have only a general furry section for all related content rather than one specific category leaving no choice but for everyone to post unrelated content in like we have been. Can't it just be moved and renamed? (I'm sure it's easier said than done, like everything else )

IMO the issue with any 'zoo' forum that hosts porn is that the majority of individuals such attracts are fetishists/bestialists over zoophiles. Along with this are those that try to live in 'both worlds' keeping their animal focus secret from their human partner(s). I'm not against sexual content in the context of a 'whole', loving relationship with a non-human partner but sadly due to the issues that most humans have with sex and sexuality the sexual aspects of a 'relationship' get blown all out of proportion. Lust, in and of itself, is NOT love!

I actually think that looking the "New posts" section is a really good example of what you are talking about. As I look at it right now, the majority of posts listed can safely be categorized as either porn or meet-up sections of the forums. Only about 25% is outside of that and is composed of the general and fetish sections as well as a few one off areas. Zoo exclusive has only two pages and the first page goes back to 2025 while Fetish has 39 pages and goes back to yesterday. Certainly, there is a situation where most see this place as being more centered on the sex/sexuality portions rather than zoo as a concept.

I was actually on the old BeastForums back in the day and that place exposed me to the zoo community, for either better or for worse. If I recall correctly, BF existed a lot like that as well. The places centered around discussing specific zoo things were always less active than the various porn sections, personals, or the sections dedicated to games and furry roleplay.

Realistically, I do not see this changing anytime soon but it is just how things are. And this is coming from a "pet-lovist"!

Considering that Zoocadia was founded for that reason, I dont think its needful hear. Furries can fend for themselves on either site.

But, as predicted, those who flocked to the site built for exclusives to put their noses in the air and be full-on snobs turned out to be Bo-rinnnng....and they all trooped back in here as they firgured it out.

Making this site a clown.....ummm ...clone...of that one isnt going to help or serve anyone. It will hasten the demise of this one, though.

I find it hilarious that the site that was created by refugees FOR refugees is now catching all the same complaints that caused the refugees to leave the Beast Forum.

There is a old saw of a saying....you get what you pay for. I think we did.
