you don't really have to worry about the bestiality laws...

... you do!, but so long as you keep it quiet, you can keep doing this.

i know most y'all live in a place where bestiality is illegal, thus making this slightly more questionable. But think of this, who is gonna call the cops on you?, who is if you're doing it all alone with your pet. Keep what you're doing on the downlow and the authorities won't really care.

I'll take "How to say "I'm brand new to this particular corner of the world and have almost no actual knowledge about what's what" without using those words." for 100, Alex...

Not because there's a law it means there'll be people willing to enforce it. I know it's a fallacy to say that the law is pointless because plenty of those supporting it probably do engage on what is being prohibited but it makes you think that maybe there's a reason why there aren't much efforts to enforce such laws.

Aside from that, yeah. Laws can be disobeyed safely depending on the conditions. You'd have to be really stupid to get you into a setting that allows you to be identified or targeted to get prosecuted for zoo stuff, but not because you can do it safely as long as you take care means that you have the right to be irresponsible. The laws exist to protect our animal lovers and partners, reminding us that we have the right to care for them and protect them as well as cherishing them
