Probably not.

The issue of consent is difficult to explain past the consideration of it being taboo. In order for it to be accepted by the mainstream, People would have to accept a few uncomfortable truths.

1.) Animals and humans aren't as far apart as we seem.
2.) Animals are capable of having a competent sexual identity.
3.) Animals are capable of expressing direct consent.

That would get rid of the objective argument against it, but there's still the emotional one.

So, in order to get rid of that, the above points would have to become common-place knowledge and accepted... and considering any one of those points has been under heavy debate for decades with no progress... I doubt that we'll see anything and if we do... it'll be something so far in the future I wouldn't give it an honest chance of changing.
 
never. we will see legalize brothels at every metropolitan city in the world before this happens and the brothel thing is already a super-long shot.

it's not so much that it won't happen it's just that no one (or not a majority) will stand up for it to pass legislation for it. just be glad the internet exist and we're still able to connect online without much persecution risks.

No. Not in our times.

It was never accepted, it was tolerated before because no one knew people was doing it and made no sense going after one person in a whole nation. Interent either made it more popular or more visible, possible both, so people entered in panic when they realized thistill happened.

Opinion and laws work as a pendulum, and right now everything is getting more and more controlled and set to the "normal parameters" in every aspect. As we all fade away in darkness and if people feels it is again a thing of the past, We may see some opening in opinions a far future, or maybe not. But as laws are already there and would need to be modified/retired... Will not happen

Lose all hope those who want public acceptance.

the problem is not with bestiality, or any other niche sexual activity that doesn't harm anything or anybody.

The problem is that there are too many people who believe that they are entitled, or even obliged, to impose their own narrow-minded moral thinking on others. There are too many people who think that their own view is the only acceptable one, especially from the side of religion but also in politics (Trump-fanatics and similar people).

If people could just leave other people in their value and let them do whatever they want - as long as it is harmless - acceptance of bestiality is hardly a problem, is it?

However much we can say that a partner feels happy with us the wider world will say, to them, its abuse. Plus religion and ingrained ideas and so many other factors.

In the end humans are the oddest species of animal on this planet. And its why I often prefer the company of better species.

I personally blame 98.6% of it on religion. Mostly Christianity.

The things we do to care for our pets and other animals without their conesnt is generally for their well being (I would sincerely like to hope so). We cannot ask their permission when they are unwell if they would want an operation or not. We cannot ask them if they wish to stay with us or not. Humans decide these things. So consent is by law the only benchmark that is written and accepted for preceived "good or bad".

Humans also decide arbitrarily what is right and wrong for everyone and everything. History has made humans grow up with these ideas and values basaed on beliefs, rhetoric and fact.

Our community on the whole I would like to think is aware of their partners feelings, likes, dislikes and respects those like any other partner should. And it is comforting to know there are good human animals out there who care for all things.

For it to be accepted law would have to change regarding consent and that is not going to happen.

Oh to live in an alternate universe..

I agree with you on this. At one time I thought maybe it would be accepted at some point, but now I am back in the never camp.

I also like what you said about it being basically socially acceptable To be against it. Some taboos are too taboo to ever change: I think beast and zoo is one of them

Consent if you rape your fucked at all races and species also age simply right to be free so why is this country called land of the free false you work slave wages and pay taxes on every thing/protection money I personally go to war right now to protect my country the 1% controlling everything like are fucking presidnts oil money all the money put to the war should have gone to Americans people free /tax money for solar power and green water wells garden’s living off the land not fucking people in stocks i have more like religion

Unfortunately probably not since the sad truth is it seems the large majority of animal lovers aren’t in it for the intimate relationship, they just want to use their animal for sex without the love and affection that comes with it, which gives all of us who do it consensually a horrible look.
