Which version of Dawn of the Dead do you prefer?

Okay, so, 1978 vs 2004. Both are damn good movies, but only one can come out on top. One is a classic, and always will be. The other, has one of the coolest openings to a movie ever made, complete with a song by the late Johnny Cash. Both films have funny moments, 2004 having that celebrity sniping challenge, 1978 having the times where the funny mall music plays over carnage.

I totally love the 2004 version because it’s like the first zombie movie with crazy fast zombies instead of the old slomo brain eaters. And has some pretty funny stuff like the elevator scene with an elevator rendition of “down with the sickness” by Disturbed, amongst other sneaky plays on zombie shit haha
I never noticed that was the elevator song ?. Plus the 2004 version has an custom campaign in L4D2, one of the best custom campaigns tbh. The 2nd being imo the Titanic campaign, because God damn it just feels fun to slaughter zombies in the Titanic. The 3rd has got to be Suicide Blitz 2.

Remakes are almost never as good as the original, and that's true with DotD. I just rewatched the original the other day. Great stuff. Romero invented the modern zombie movie. All others are pretenders to the throne.

Speed is the name of the game. 2004.
How fast and far can you run?
Terrifying isn’t it?
What's also terrifying is the beginning of the opening intro,. When the CD-fucking-C can only respond to questions with "we don't know". Although tbh, if they would've just stayed in the Crossroads Mall, it's likely they eventually would be rescued, it's a Mall so it'd have food for ages, unlike the original when an outbreak happened while the mall was open, which meant it had a lot of zombies, but in the remake it seems the outbreak occurred at night while it was closed, when there would only be janitors, security, maybe some store managers, but no customers, meaning the mall would be mostly empty, exactly how we see it.
