Sheath fingering precautions?

I recently found out my partner loves when I finger his sheath. I went all the way to knuckle deep and he absolutely LOVED it. So, I would like to ask. On top of clean hands, nicely trimmed nails, and good body safe lube, is there any other precautions I should be taking? Of course I’m nice and gentle with him, and he shows no signs of discomfort letting me slide my finger in as far as it can go.

besides the stuff you mentioned yourself already, i guess you can also use the occasion to keep him clean there as well. my boy tends to get loose fur and sometimes even dirt in there.
