I've been a zoo since a young age, but for the past several years completely suppressed it (besides for occasionally reading on the lifestyle and zoo / feral porn). Since then I've been in the furry fandom for quite awhile and found many similar minded / tolerant people in the fandom. I've always loved animals on a very deep level and often surprised people by bonding very quickly with dogs and cats that were otherwise mean to others.

Recently I came to terms with it and am out and open about being a zoo, and this is my first time formally joining in with the community to connect with more people.

I am excited to learn more about the community and make myself even more comfortable with the lifestyle

I have a similar experience in hiding my zoophilia.
Thankfully, it is treated casually here, like it was a matter of hair color.
Funnily enough, it is treated so casually here, that I sometimes habitually wonder to myself what I wonder when I visit nonzoo forums: "Would everyone here still accept me if they knew I was zoo?" Temporarily forgetting that, by my presence here, everyone already assumes I am zoo.
