I’m curious

WolfSauric

Lurker
Is there a part of a the world where zoo is more common or does it seem to be pretty evenly spread out? I’d love to learn more

In general it's more common in rural areas. I attribute this to a combination of having less to do and also having more access to intact animals. They would also see more animal breeding and so would have to acknowledge animals sexuality, which I think many urban and suburban people don't really think about.

I doubt it. Every study ever published shows that this is a tiny group, wherever we show up. Theres no reason to think its more prevalent in one place or another....tho its probably LESS prevalent in places where they'll separate your head from your neck, along with your critter.

For some reason I get the impression that in Brazil it may not be so taboo as in US
Don't count on it. I was told privately (by a fellow zoo friend on this forum who moved there) that they're pretty backwards in attitudes towards even just vanilla homosexuality (he's gay and married to a man, iirc). Electrical infrastructure is pretty damned backwards too, to hear him tell it.

When it comes to countries, over the years I recall talking to a lot in Germany, UK, and now and then France. I think there might be a slight perv gene in the German blood, which would totally explain where these thoughts and others in my head came from. :ROFLMAO: And watching some of the less "mainstream" videos and hearing the language also has made me chuckle "of course."

In the US I seem to speak more towards the west coast and Texas. Here in Florida it seems more Tampa area, Jacksonville especially, and Ft. Meyers.

Very unscientific, but just in general the answers I get when sharing locations. To add, this is based on my conversations with women, who I like speaking with.

As for rural or city, I put a survey on here once a few years ago curious when I was working at an event more in farm country with a lot of girls and women running around with their big dogs. It made me wonder if any of them were active. Being rural might mean more opportunity with the variety of farm choices to explore, less need to worry about getting caught or have the knock on the door or wall to keep quiet, less "dating" options so maybe more open to be satisfied by other choices. Or in the city where they might be more open minded sexually, more willing to explore that side with less "it's just not right" guilt; perhaps frustrated with the dating scene and nights at home with the dog are better. It does seem those I have talked who were curious (again, women) were more in the city and suburbs. Is the city maybe more curious and the country is more active? Didn't get a single vote on the survey for a clue, not even sure if it's still listed.
