Believe me, thays exactly how most view them.o

Sadly, there are sub categories who are only in it for the sex or the thrill.
We don't tend to view them as Zoos
 
Within the spectrum of zoosexuality you'll find many different people, just as that you'll see many differences among people who, for example, are in straight human-human relationships. Some zoosexuals are committed to their animal love partners, others get aroused from watching others doing it. Some are in it just for the sexual relief. In other words, you'll find many different answers here, and needless to say that my answers and attitudes might not be applicable to others. So, here it goes...

For me, I didn't end up in the stables because I was disappointed in people. Throughout my teens and twenties I have had my crushes on, and the odd relation with, women and it was great as long as it lasted. There was, however, also something that manifested itself already early on in adolescence: even though I didn't grow up with horses, I felt this attraction to mares. I am not disappointed with people, and don't see mares as my 'second best alternative' because I cannot get a human girlfriend. Contrary to popular beliefs that people turn to animals as a replacement, I am convinced it is my innate sexual orientation.

The commercial porn - despite being often referenced in studies - does not give an accurate picture of what zoosexuality is all about. The humans in such porn are at best paid actors while the animals usually are drugged to take the edge off. Despite the addition of these chemicals, the chemistry is missing. The commercial porn is mainly produced for a non-zoosexual audience like human couple who want to spice up their sex life, or get aroused from the taboo status it has.

I don't know how many women have been interviewed about their sexual involvement with animals: it is not something you would shout from the rooftops because it still is a career killer. Also, while the commercial porn usually shows women with animals, the majority of people in communities like this one are male, so I do wonder whether this focus on women who do it and why will provide an accurate picture of zoosexuals.

Finally, you say watching zoosexual porn disgusts you. I understand that. There are certain sexual acts - even within zoosexuality - that make my stomach turn. Perhaps the question there is what is it of the zoosexual porn that arouses you? Is it the animal, the woman, the interplay of dominance and being dominated....?

Yes, weirdly enough, some of us (including myself) fall in love with our animals in a romantic sense. Doesn’t make much sense to outsiders, but it’s definetly a thing.

If you find yourself super curious and want to go down the rabbit hole of zoophilia/bestiality, I recommend going to the “Articles” section of the forum. There’s some nice, in-depth papers that go into detail about the history, science, morality, and all that jazz on zoophilia.

Probably the woman and the dominance, I don't feel anything from looking at any animals that I know of
