That this was fun and they can now do that with you more often.
Your relationship might improve because it is another fun activity to do together.
They probably do not think you are a viable partner, because you are not the same species. Most animals can tell in some ways that you are not their own species.
So you are a jerk buddy and they will ask you for sex more often than they would a partner of their own kind.

They actually do not care what gender you are. Sex is fun, it feels nice, that is pretty much all that is needed. Sometimes all that is needed is a genderless pillow.

Doggies just have a happy demeanor, if they can have their primal urges fulfilled (most dogs don't have any sexual interaction whatsoever) I they are just more attached to you as you are to them. I mean that's what love is right (at least a part of it)?
