I definitely believe it's more common than I used to think. Most people just keep it to themselves or they get an awkward experience once in their life they never talk about. I used to think it was rare but now I think it's much more common, just that within the open zoo community, it's rarer

As others have said, all the estimates we have from research are really low, biased (having been pulled from a tiny portion of the population, i.e. prisoners, rather than a broad group of ages/sexes/locations which would make for a better cross-section as far as accuracy) and likely STILL under-reported because normies would put us in the same category as pedos making respondents very unlikely to self report as zoo.

Also I feel like the fact that references to it in the mainstream SEEM to me to be on the increase suggests at least more interest/curiosity and that has to translate into at least a few more people giving it a go than when it was much further underground.

TL,DR: More than the studies but less than we, the zoos, would probably like

I'm on several bestiality subreddits. Anecdotal, yes, but they're super active.

I guess I look at it as...curiousity/fantasy is how anything builds. Anal USED to be a "big deal" that was "rare". Now it seems to be considered just slightly above vanilla.

There are a whole lot of "women" (yeah I know the bulk of them are probably dudes) that have no problem panting over at least the IDEA of taking a knot. If a portion of those actually try it IRL, like it and stick with it, the needle moves over a bit.

If even a fraction of those that try and like it tell ONE friend and get THEM to try it, well...over time, it goes from taboo to merely "kinky"
