Have had a few months where my “cycle” is late

Hey everyone, I met and talked to someone and they mentioned this forum as a place to talk to people about this.
A little backstory, I’m 41, been active with my dog for about a year now. There are months where I’m definitely late in my cycle and not to sound ignorant but this isn’t what I think it is right? Wonder if any other women out there have experienced something similar.

If it is so that dogs can have this effect on woman even if it is rare it seems very exciting. For me I’d live to induce at least false pregnancy in a dog. We had one small bitch who got false pregnancy once or twice. I didn’t touch her and she had no access to make dogs so I think it was just her lust or longing or whatever.

I have pretty much exclusively only been with my dog outside the occasional woman the last year so it could’ve only happened from him. The first late cycle was freaky, but the other times it’s happened I’ve come to find it erotic
roud for having a physical effect on you. What kind is he?

It seems this is very normal for a lot people even in human on human sex, I wouldn't worry unless it lasts for longer then 2-3 months and then you may have to go to your gyno and talk to them

I like them a lot. I had to look after a friend’s prize winning gs for a few weeks. He’d give me oral and get very excited but he refused to mount unfortunately and would growl and snap when I tried to jack him off. Only dog ever who reacted like that.

could be a couple things but false pregnancy possible, sometimes the body gets fooled

Yup I’m sorry to break it to you but you’re pregnant. You’re going to need to put some money aside for doggy university in the future
Haha well I’m sure it’s at least cheaper than the school I went too so I got that going for me

Typically my next cycle is very on the date, exactly as I would expect. This has only happened a few times but enough times I figured I’d see if others have experienced it.

Mine is a rescue and we got very close. Definitely a learning curve for both of us at the start but we found our groove

Seems like that’s what I got going on. I guess I didn’t expect it foolishly

even if it was longer than a month, cross-species hybrids aren't a thing. You can only reproduce with something within your genome. Like a horse and a donkey can make a mule. Ligers actually exist, between a lion and a tiger. Dogs and wolves. But humans are all their own genome. Even humans closest relation by evolution, primates, are to far removed to have the necessary DNA to make procreating possible.
Cycle disruption could be anything from stress to biological factors.

Some women here do report false pregnancies. It can't actually happen, because of different numbers of chromosomes, but it's OK to imagine it if you like.

a false pregnancy is not a failed pregnancy. It is simply the body believing it is pregnant, it does happen for sure. Nothing to to do with chromosomes. Nothing to do with actual insemination.
False pregnancy, clinically termed pseudocyesis, is the belief that you are expecting a baby when you are not really carrying a child. People with pseudocyesis have many, if not all, symptoms of pregnancy -- with the exception of an actual fetus.

That is what I figured. I never thought it could happen or frankly should happen but I guess had questions. This makes sense. Thank you.

The imagination part can definitely be fun. It’s a hot fantasy but not a hot reality

We know little about our mind. I am intrigued by how much a desire can reflect on the physical aspect.

It's a very interesting subject. For example, a woman can induce milk production even if it is not associated with pregnancy.

Probably just stress or some other mental aspect.
Or, it could be there’s something actually wrong in your reproductive organs. Keep an eye on it, and if it‘s still off after some time, go see a doctor.

You wouldn’t be the first to mistake something bad for a false pregnancy.

Just because you’re getting some action from your dog, doesn’t suddenly mean your body “thinks” it’s pregnant.

I'm not sure it works that way lol, but the thought is exciting. :husky_wink:
I also don't have a scientific, empirical answer about this but i'm intrigued by how much a woman's body and mind are impacted by the increase in the volume of semen absorbed compared to what was or is experienced with a man after insemination haha.

I can't point to any scientific studies with empirical evidence either, but I don't believe canine sperm can actually fertilize our eggs because "it doesn't have the right key to the door" or can't get past the cell wall for some reason related to proteins or something. So it's not like there is ever a point that we actually get pregnant. This is just what I read online a while ago and I don't even remember everything, so I could be wrong too. 🤷‍♀️

@KnottyBitch69 When you mate during your ovulation days, is the experience usually different or is it something that doesn't matter?
I can't say I've noticed much difference tbh, other than the fact that I'm craving it so much more at that time lol. I've had late or skipped cycles before, but I don't believe it was related to letting our boys breed me while fertile. However I can't say I've really been tracking these things much either, so idk lol.

You are NOT pregnant
You could be skipping dormant reasons
- stress
- hormones fluctuating
- perimenopause
- weight loss
- diet changes
Etc etc etc

Don’t worry
Feel free to reach out anytime if you want

Oh yes, the point was not to even consider fertilization since biology does not favor this phenomenon, and yes, it is a very saturated subject here haha but my intention was to project a possible hormonal imbalance. In the end, all of this unfolds in the same scenarios as always: Reality or fantasy 😁

Do you believe that your orgasms are more intense? Or do you just notice an increase in libido?
