Great sound on groovy ground.

What was the most psychedelic sound of the 60s to those of you inclined to answer? I find that the Piper at the Gates of Dawn largely written and composed by Syd Barret in 1967 fits that bill and then some. If I had to elaborate further and pick a couple two three songs I'd choose Matilda Mother or Astromine Dominie.

Given that the average age here is probably under 40, 1967 is ancient History. Woodstock might just as well have been the Alamo, or Brandywine.I posted here....it got no more response than the original query. Too bad....its an important topic.
