Zooville Settler
So what might one find in terms of fiction that contains either zoo related or contains entirely feral characters, that is not just straight up porn.

Gotta spend some time away from my girl again bro's, and i need a little paw pad, cutesy, slice of life type deal to help calm my shit a bit.

And lord please don't send me to alpha and omega again, i could do without zeta chronicles levels of cringe during my reading sessions.

Kill Switch & War Hawk by James Rollins are a pair of thrillers following an army ranger and his military dog (characters spun off from a single appearance in his Sigma Force series). It's been years since I read them, but as I recall there's sections written entirely from the point of view of the dog. Nothing remotely zoo, but the parts from the dog's pov are pretty cool as I recall.

Now that sounds juicy, only problem is i don't trust them not to kill the dog.
The Blair witch game already dragged my balls over the coals when i couldn't find a way to rescue the dog and my soul is too sensitive to handle that without my girl around.

Rollins rarely kills off characters. The one time he did "kill off" 2 characters that had been recurring characters for 8 books it was strongly implied they were merely shunted off to a parallel universe. And the last time he spent an entire book making the reader believe a character that had been around for 14 books was toast he ass pulled a way to keep her alive in the epilogue.
