Hi all! I have no idea what to put here...I just joined today after finding the forum posted on the bird app that shall not be named.

I have spend the last hour lurking around and oh my gosh this forum is amazing. I'm not being dramatic when I say it's almost made me tear up.

I always knew there were other zoo's but never did I think there were this many! And fellow trans folks, folks in their 20's, folks who are local?! It's blowing my mind a bit. I've known I was a zoo for a looong time now, and it always felt really isolating. So it's absolutely amazing to find a forum like this.

Anywho, great to sort of meet you all! I'm going to do some more research on internet safety so I can start being a bit more active without so much fear. If anyone has tips for someone who has 0 sense of internet safety I would be super grateful!

Inrernet safty well never give out i fo thar can lead back to you , any picture of clip you might post , ofc u cover your face but chek what elae canlead back to you for a diploma in the background etc. This lifestyle is illegal in most of the world and there might be undercover cops even on here , cant verify that ofc but i heared it mentioned here. If it comes to personal meets which in all honesty i cant reccomend be sure ofc the other person.
THese might sound silly or paranoid but better safe then sorry, other then this u can enjoy yoir self here.

Yeah I just kind of assume there are cops everywhere I go online (forums specifically) and honestly I've kept myself from interacting much this whole time - just observing. Now I think I want to make a connection or two but I need to be cautious with that too...

greastest security advise is to be mindfull of what you say, for exemple:
don't name your city,
don't give precise info about your work (like you can say you do IT but don't say what exactly and wich company)
don't show face and any recongnisable feature
oh and also, if you draw art and post them in social network, don't post them here at all. a simple google search could bust you ;-;

As long long you follow those kind rules, you'll be safe !

Hi and welcome :). It is important to be aware of internet security measures especially in our situation - the other users have summed it up pretty nicely but I would also stress the importance of keeping a low profile as well. The easiest way to ensure nobody is snooping in your private business is to not arouse any suspicion/interest in the first place.

Just remember that not everyone here will have your safety and well being uppermost in their black little hearts. Take everything with a grain of salt, and do not rush. Those things may be hard to do, but they will serve you well.

Consider using Tor and its browser as your means of accessing the site sometimes it's a little slower but it is more secure
