I'm talking like backyard breeders who set up shop in the back of a pick-up truck in a Walmart parking lot type deal. How did it go for you, etc? Best dog I ever had growing up was from the back of a truck, such a special bond between us two.
Anyone have any stories they'd like to share about dogs they acquired from places that were shady AF?

Should have been clearer, didn't pay, owners were giving the dogs away.

I got my last dog from someone with an addiction to something. I don't know what but she was desperate to offload the pup for $ and wouldn't stop following me around with this furball in her arms, begging me to buy him and knocking the price down every half mile or so. I finally bought him off her because I had already been looking for another dog and I didn't want her to know where I lived (we were getting close to my house). Best dog I ever had.
