Zoo or furry

I've considered myself a zoophile since I was very young and entering sexual maturity, around 25 years or so. Always felt a great attraction to animals (canines and equines) more than anything else, but don't feel I 'became' a zoophile at any point, it's just who I am. As for furry, I've been involved in the furry fandom for about 10 years.

So to answer the question, I was a zoophile long before I found the furry community
 
Zoophile THEN furry. I won't lie I was a little hostile to furries for a long time because I assumed they were all zoos. Turns out I was just projecting lol, and now I'm the furry zoophile.
 
i didn't "become" either. it was there already... cartoons (like looney tunes) probably helped getting drawn to anthro animals first. never really thought about what was first.
 
Since it started for me at a very young age before maturity it was Furry first...the Rest sychronized with puberty.
 
I would say zoophile first then furry. I wasn't aware of zoophilia at the time, but I knew I really loved animals in that way. I then discovered the furry fandom sometime afterward and became a part of it.
 
My attraction to animals is why I found furry. I didn't know there was a term for it until I started getting more into the furry community. But I had felt attracted to animals from a young age, it felt natural to me and that was one reason why I stumbled across furry in the first place.

If I wasn't zoo, I don't think I'd be a furry either. I can't really imagine my life without that attraction, it has impacted my life so much that I don't know how things would have gone in an alternate universe. I'm pretty confident in that I wouldn't be the same person at all without it, though.
 
Definitely zoo first.

Wasn't much interested in dating or anything growing up, but was for sure interested in my grandparents german shepherd. Don't think I found out what furry was until my late teens. Had always drawn the 4 leggers though :) So I guess always a feral zoo furry!
 
furry first but it wasnt long before i was looking at feral stuff and loved it. then it turned into looking at videos of animals mating online then randomly discovered actual zoo stuff and ive been hooked since.
 
I guess zoo because I first imagined feral cheetahs/leopards and that gave me my first ever hard on. They were supposed to be humans changed into animals but without the TF aspect, you could say the transformation happened off screen. Those imaginations quickly spiralled into classic furry, with them also developing animal characteristics in their human form. I didn't know stuff like this existed on the internet, I would be searching phrases like "people changing to animals" or "people with fur and tail" before I found Deviantart. I was 10 years old.

I've never really been a part of the furry culture, I'm just there for the things that turn me on. When E621 required me to draw a fursona, I was displeased. I still haven't done it and use the site without logging into my account

Furry very much first for me, been one for almost 11 years now, but a little while ago I started enjoying feral yiff more and more, then from there I started becoming morbidly curious about "irl feral", and eventually that morbid curiosity turned into actual interest in zoo stuff
