Taken September, 2014. 100th anniversary of start of WWI. Volunteers placed porcelain poppies in the moat of the Tower of London. One for each British soldier lost in that war.View attachment 620498

Porcelain..... Sounds like a lot of breakage being asked for, but the artists were pointing up the fragility of Human Life. The casualty count was 88,8246 British Army Soldiers, of which one was my Great Uncle. The Somme, July, 1916.

The Flowers are now property of The Imperial War Museum.

Most of you will not recall this, unless you're old TV Western fans, but Raquel Welch was a regular in 'The Virginian' for a couple of seasons. Her character was a Saloon Girl, and Poolshark. Trampas
( Doug McClure) would lose a month's pay every time he tried to lick her.
Come to think....I'd have given a months pay to lick her....yummmm

Next one expression actually pains me, but I like you can imagine a back story of her being there
