There's plenty of chances to "play" in secret with a family dog. Dog zoo's often have a lot of shame since a dog is so often a "shared" thing between many people and having sex with one that is regarded as a "child" in the family is.. well.. complicated.
A sensible person will understand that an adult animal is well, an adult, but it's so taboo to have sex with the family pet not many actually do it. I know I never did, the taboo and shame was too much. But just wanted to give my two cents here: don't be like me, have sex with a person who likes you and who you like, even if they are a family pet. Their sexuality and personhood is not owned by anyone else but the animal themselves

What about the noise. Would they not get suspicious when they hear howling and moaning and then you coming out of the room zipping up your flies with the dog

I have a radio and a sound bar. I’m also not that loud when people are home.
